Women, drawings, Gaia

Some new drawings, sketches.

In the Nordic and Greek Mythology, Gaia was the great mother of all: the primal Greek Mother Goddess; creator and giver of birth to the Earth and all the Universe.

I don’t know yet how, but I am investigating how to implant this theme into my work, into my art. So these sketches are part of my research.

32 x 25 cm. Black chalk

I guess I am an oldfashioned artist. Well, at least my themes are: landscapes, nature, women.

On the other hand, it depends on what you do with these themes.

As Oscar Wilde put it: “No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist”.

OR

“Art only begins where Imitation ends.”
